CRCA New Year's Day Ride

The CRCA New Year's Day Ride is on!  Start 2017 in the best way possible - by joining your CRCA friends for the annual CRCA New Year's Day Ride. Start: Sun Jan 1 / 8:00 AM @ Cat’s Paw Rambles Parking Lot  (arrive 5 minutes beforehand - no one wants to wait around in the cold!)

The route:

  • Over the GWB, to 9W North
  • The course detours just South of Nyack where you can either climb up just before entering Nyack, or go through Nyack and use any of the access roads back west to 9W.
  • Either way you will climb Rockland Hill and continue on 9W for the rest of the ride
  • Up to Bear Mountain/Perkins summit
  • Return via the same route, finishing up by turning Left @ 110th St & riding South on Fifth Avenue to 90th St

What you need to know:

  • Bring a signed USAC waiver
  • Dress appropriately for the weather
  • Pack your own proper ride nutrition and hydration
  • Ensure you have means to deal with flats

IMPORTANT: 5/29 Roster Posted

The roster for May 29 is now available here. Take a quick look, especially if you’re racing Saturday, to make sure not only that you’re clear to race but you’ve got the right number.

If you haven’t picked up your number yet, have no fear, we’ll have them ready to pick up at the race.  Please come early,  please know what your number is, and please have your USAC license out and ready.

IF YOUR NAME IS IN YELLOW: You are NOT cleared to race, and its because of something critical.  You are either suspended due to not marshaling, you do not have a valid USAC license/number in our system, or you have not taken a new members race clinic (mandatory for ALL cat 4/5 racers).  Please get in touch with me ASAP at membership[at]crca.net if you were intending to race and you are yellow.  Hopefully if its a USAC issue we can get it resolved ASAP.

IF YOUR NAME IS IN PURPLE: Please bring an EVENT WAIVER to the race tomorrow, and submit a SERIES WAIVER via email. A reminder that EVENT WAIVERS can be purchased for a $5 donation at the Club races. To submit a season waiver by e-mail: (1) visit http://archive.crca.net/racing/eventwaivers/, (2) find the season waiver under the "2016 Season Pass Waiver" section, (3) print, fill-in, sign, scan, and email the waiver to waivers@crca.net.

Thanks and see you all tomorrow morning!
